Here's our Cavalier baby boy!!:) We're buying him from a kennel in Belarus but both of his parents had been imported from France.
And in France they have a strange one-letter-per-year system for dogs' names. All puppies born in the same year must have names starting with the same letter. (HUH?!)
It's "H" in 2012.
The funny thing is that French cannot pronounce the /h/ sound. And many don't. So the joke is on them... or is it on us?:)
You have no idea how many times I've heard from someone they were "very angry" while they were "very hungry" in reality.
Regardless of the fact that we're not in France I feel like cheri N. would be more comfortable observing the one-letter-per-year rule. So...
We had Hunter first. Seriously?! Then I kind of wondered about Happy. Yesterday I came up with Honey and texted N. We both kind of liked it.
So when starting this post today I asked cheri N. to say the name out loud. And there it was... /oni/. /oni/, not /hĘŚni/.
After stressing the importance of Honey being Honey, not Oni. I went back to blogging. And that's when it hit me! Our Honey was born on Dec 1, 2011.
2011! His name is supposed to start with a "G".
Any suggestions?
