Ho ho ho etc.

Remember how I bored you with a long list of documents I was collecting to apply for a French visa? Well.....

I got it!! The Schengen visa!

So it will be a very Merry Christmas avec chéri N. et la famille:))

Oops... I've just realized that I won't be able to celebrate New Year in England because I got a single entry French visa...

Well, that'll save me from more paperwork, that's for sure.

French T13

My boyfriend is inviting me to celebrate Christmas and New Year in France, with his family and friends. Exciting, isn't it?:) The only non-exciting part is the visa.

Here's a short list of documents I am required to provide to have a chance to see the Sacré Cœur and the shores of Brittany:
  1. application form for a Schengen visa
  2. my local passport and its copy
  3. my foreign passport and its copy
  4. my tax ID code and its copy
  5. my bank account balance(s) and statements showing transactions for the past 6 months (you know, to know how much I spend)
  6. a statement from work stating my monthly salary, my salary for the past several months and the promise from my employee that I'll still be employed by the company after coming back from my trip
  7. any kind of prove of me being an owner of some property (apartments, houses, cars... anything that'd make me a) want to come back, b) demonstrate that I'm not poor enough to want to immigrate)
  8. invitation from my boyfriend's father signed by French authorities
  9. his father's passport copy
  10. my boyfriend's passport copy
  11. letters from both of them stating who I am to them, how they know me and their promises to be fully responsible for my accommodation, expenses and coming back
  12. my boyfriend's birth certificate and/or any kind of papers showing that he's related to his father who's inviting me
  13. my airplane tickets
  14. my boyfriend's airplane tickets (to prove we're flying together)
  15. my boyfriend's temporary resident's ID
  16. a copy of his working visa
  17. a copy of his French ID (aside from the passport)
  18. my medical insurance
  19. photos, letters etc. to prove cheri N. and I are in a real relationship
...oops, that's 19 already and my list is not even nearly finished.

Cross your fingers for me on November 23. That's when I have my interview at the French visa center.

The Alps

A pretty relaxed Monday before a manic Tuesday. I should be working right now. Instead... instead I want to share two photos I found on cheri N's iPod.

Someone has an eye for great shots, je crois.

P.S. iPod Touch is something. I'm in love.
